Hello,

My name is Kelsey Helland, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Capella University. I’m reaching out to connect with any professionals or organizations that may be offering practicum opportunities for the upcoming Fall 2025 term.

My Fall practicum is scheduled to begin on October 6th, 2025, and will run for 10 weeks. I am required to complete 100 total hours, with at least 40 hours being direct client contact. I am available for approximately 10 hours per week, though I am more than willing to contribute additional hours if needed to support your team.

Professionally, I bring experience as a targeted mental health case manager and a Guardian ad Litem, where I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals and families navigating trauma, emotional challenges, and systemic barriers. These roles strengthened my skills in crisis intervention, treatment planning, advocacy, and building therapeutic rapport with diverse populations. I’m passionate about trauma-informed, person-centered care and am eager to continue learning and growing within the field.
